报告人简介:Dr. Wei Xie is a Principle Investigator at School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University. His lab is interested in understanding epigenetic regulation of transcription in the mammalian genome that governs cellular development and related human diseases. They aim to decipher the mechanisms underlying a number of key biological processes: (1) epigenetics regulation of stem cell pluripotency and cell differentiation mediated by DNA methylation and chromatin modifications; (2) epigenetic regulation of early animal development; (3) the role of cis-regulatory elements such as enhancers and promoters in cell fate determination; (4) molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases linked to aberrant epigenetic regulation.
